Creating compelling Case Needs

 

A key part of each Case for Support is making your funding Needs – the core “Ask” of your Case – tangible, clear and worthy. The Needs are the heart of your Case and the specific items donors will be asked to support, such as the particular programs, equipment, construction projects or other items for which your organization needs additional funding in order to realize its vision. Each has an individual dollar value, and when they are all added up together, they equal your campaign’s financial goal.

Major gift donors need clear explanations of how you plan to use the money you are looking to raise. At ImageScript we will help you to articulate the rationale behind your Needs, why each proposed Need item is critical to your vision and your future, and why it’s urgently in need of funding now. We will also help you to explain who specifically will benefit from this investment, and what the outcome will be. This is called making the Case tangible and substantiating the Need, two of the most critical elements a compelling fundraising Case must have.
