The Main Case for your Campaign
The Main Campaign Case for Support is a prose-written document that contains all the key messages, arguments, information and details about your campaign, your organization, its vision and its Needs. It serves as your internal reference document for all other written materials you will produce during your campaign, from proposals and grant applications, to request letters and brochures. It’s your go-to piece where you can quickly find high quality, fully approved Case content that you immediately can use to cut and paste from in order to assemble whatever you need to prepare, such as a last minute proposal to a donor, for example.
This internal Case is written first, using a careful consensus-building approach that involves you and the key leadership of your organization, your Board and your upcoming campaign. Organizational acceptance of the Case is essential so that everybody is on the same page going into the campaign. Many fundraisers use this Case (or an Executive Summary version of it) to do early recruitment work of senior volunteers, such as the Campaign Chair, and the solicitation of some of the top lead gifts.
At ImageScript, we can help you to build your Case from start to finish. Our comprehensive approach to Case building includes everything from helping you to determine what briefing materials need to be assembled, who needs to be consulted or interviewed, to conducting the personal Case interviews and other Case research, preparing a first draft of the Case, counseling you on how to broker your Case internally, and finalizing your Case once brokering and approvals are complete.
